Want to know a secret? All the cool chefs go to this very cool spot in Chicago called Au Cheval. They come back inspired — especially by the burger. “Our burger is modeled straight up after the Au Cheval burger,” says Lyn 65 chef Ben Rients. We totally get it: Four-ounce patties are griddled to medium rare, topped with Kraft American cheese, house pickles, and Dijonaise, and served on a toasted bun. A “single” automatically arrives as a double, and a “double” is a triple, for that additional good old-fashioned American gluttony. Go to Chicago if you want, or just go to Richfield. Like Au Cheval, it’s worth the drive.
